For Egbengwu Nimo Indigenes who need capital funding to start a business or Craft Shop under the business Startup program (BSP)

 

For a candidate to be eligible

 

(1) The candidates must be Egbengwu Nimo Indigenes (Male and Female) between Eighteen (18) and thirty Five (35) years old,who are in need of capital to start a business or Craft Shop

 

(2) Must have a minimum of first school leaving certificate, candidates that possess higher certificates, diplomas or degrees can also apply

    This Scholarship is awarded to the following qualified students in Memory of Chief Benjamin Oraekwute Omile, Okpokora 1 Nimo for many years of “Meritorious Services.” As the National Secretary of Nimo Brotherhood Society (NBS), now called Nimo Town Development Union (NTDU) for 47 years, Chief Omile orchestrated many activities and developments in Nimo for the betterment of the community. He was the architect of conflict resolution in our community. Okpokora was indeed the quintessential leader who personified community service and peace. He was the epitome of discipline, competence, wisdom, foresight, commitment, humility, and erudition. May his legacy live forever.

    Candidates must:

    • Be Egbengwu Nimo citizen.
    • Show proof of personal identification
      • National passport with recent photograph
      • NIN, PVC, drivers license.
    • Hold a senior secondary school certificate or its equivalent in (SSCE, NECO, NABTEB, or GCE) with a minimum of five credits in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology in no more than two sittings (Official copy).
    • Earn admission into a federal or state university (Official letter of admission).
    • Tender two testimonial of personal character either from:
      • School personnel from the last school attended.
      • Local pastor
      • Local leader or
      • Family member or friend
    • Submit an explanation of need (no more than 150 words).
